Our Vision is to create a society where no child or adult is left behind. Especially in the moments that matter most.
The John Terry Foundation
It's more than a charity, it's a legacy.
The John Terry Foundation was founded in 2024 by former England and Chelsea captain John Terry, with one powerful belief: Every child and adult deserves the chance to thrive—free from poverty, poor health, and exclusion.
We exist to break down the barriers holding people back. Whether it’s helping a young person find confidence through sport, supporting a family in crisis, or bringing dignity and comfort at the end of life, we’re there, wherever we’re needed most.
This is more than charity. It’s legacy. It’s about giving everyone—especially those with the least—a fair shot at hope, dignity, and opportunity.
Why now?
Right now in the UK:
Children in the UK living in poverty
Children facing a probable mental health disorder
People at the end of life experiencing poverty
Rising
These aren’t just statistics—they’re real lives. That’s why our work is urgent, focused, and unapologetically people-first.
John Terry's purpose
John’s personal commitment to helping children and families facing adversity is at the heart of the Foundation. From the power of sport to the compassion of care, everything we do reflects that deep sense of purpose.
“It’s about giving everyone a reason to smile, a memory to hold onto, and the chance to know they matter—especially right at the end.”
